Communitea: Community Tea Ceremony
Join us at the Whitehouse in Melbourne for a community tea ceremony.

Join us in-person for our first Small Giants Communitea. An invitation to be together, to find the quiet amidst the chaos, in the ceremony of sitting tea.
For millennia, tea has been shared as medicine, ritual and social connection. It supports the body to cleanse and regulate, the mind to settle and the whole system to return to balance, inviting a deeper sense of clarity, connection and belonging.
Cha Dao ‘The Way of Tea’ is a traditional practice of tea meditation. Held in silence, over multiple bowls of tea we will cultivate presence, receptivity, and a felt connection to self, nature and the wider web of life.
Shake off the dust of the world and take a seat on the floor as equals, to simply drink the moment.
This is a two-hour public gathering, including arrival and gentle closing. The ceremony will take place on floor cushions. Please let us know upon booking if you require accessibility support. We recommend eating after the ceremony to fully receive the effects of the tea.
All are welcome. No prior experience is needed.
Communitea will be hosted by Ellie Harris, a devoted student of Cha Dao under the tutelage of Global Tea Hut. Any questions please reach out to anna@smallgiants.com.au.
