Conversation Tents

At this year’s gathering we will explore a number of big topics and set up a conversation tent for each one. This will allow people to share thoughts and ideas, listen to experts and learn more about the nuances of what each topic entails.

Our tents will include:

Sensemaking and truth Is it possible to have a shared sense of reality anymore? How do we know who to trust? How will Artificial Intelligence change the world? What is truth in a post-truth era?

Systems Thinking From climate change to pandemics, we will examine multiple global systems, the interrelationships between them and how to think about solutions to the meta crisis that we face.

Food and Agriculture Let’s talk about regenerative agriculture, permaculture, biodynamics, and our food system. Healthy growing and healthy eating are the focus of this tent.

Peace and conflict In a world that seems increasingly divided, can we find our way to peace? Can we listen to those we don’t like? Let’s have some brave conversations about understanding the other.

Next Economy We will explore topics such as Gross National Happiness, localisation, wellbeing economics and how we might find our way back into the safe and just space in Kate Raworth’s Doughnut.

Rest In this tent we will discuss topics including sleep, death, quiet, solitude, belonging and meditation (some will be practiced – but not death).
