Retreat Overview
How do we live well? How do we lead well? What do we owe each other, and what do we owe ourselves? How do we hold complexity without collapsing into cynicism or naive hope?
This philosophy retreat is an invitation to examine these questions, in the company of one of the most distinguished philosophers of our time, and in the places where the questions were first asked.
Over eight days as Greece moves into autumn, an small group will travel from Athens to Delphi to the island of Hydra. We will walk the Acropolis, stand on Mount Parnassus where the Oracle once spoke, and gather on Hydra to ask what philosophy can offer those of us trying to live well in a complicated time
