At Small Giants Academy, we're very intentional about the spaces we gather in. Because if we want conversations that are generous, thoughtful and brave, the container has to hold them. Small cues that communicate: you’re welcome here, take your time, stay curious.

We love partnering with Valiant to create these spaces because they understand that furniture is never just furniture. It shapes how we listen, how we linger, and how we come together. As a B Corp, they share our belief that business can be both rigorous and relational. That profit and purpose are not opposing forces, but practices that can be complimentary.

For Valiant, sustainability is embedded in their work, not bolted on. They’ve spent six decades pioneering what it means to furnish a space, redirecting the industry away from the disposable and toward something more deeply considered. In 2022, Valiant became Australia’s first 100% carbon-neutral furniture company. Last year they also achieved B Corp certification - no small feat for a business with global supply chains and logistics.

During the 2025 Australian Open, over 16,000 bright yellow tennis ball canisters were opened. Rather than ending up in landfill, these canisters were upcycled. Through an act of circular imagination, Valiant transformed them into durable, beautifully crafted café tabletops. By treating waste not as an endpoint but as a resource waiting for reinvention, Valiant embodies a design philosophy that closes the loop. It’s the same thinking behind their Australian-first Carbon Calculator, which brings transparency to the environmental footprint of furniture production, allowing organisations to measure and offset their impact order by order.

Their impact work extends beyond materials and emissions. Valiant also donates furniture to organisations supporting women and families experiencing hardship, recognising that the objects we design and use are part of a wider social fabric. In a time when so much is built for speed and disposability, Valiant focuses on longevity, responsibility and care.

As we prepare for the Wisdom & Action Forum this May, we’re grateful to partner with B Corps like Valiant who help us create spaces that feel thoughtful, grounded and quietly hopeful. Because the way we gather shapes the conversations we’re able to have.
