Digital Marketing Coordinator

About the position

We're seeking an exceptional, motivated and impact-driven Digital Marketing Coordinator to join our communications team. You'll play a vital role in amplifying our purpose by creating compelling content, building engaged communities on our digital channels, and helping to connect conscious leaders with transformative learning experiences.

Working alongside the Head of Marketing & Communications and the broader Academy team, you'll craft and deliver high-quality, on-brand content that embodies what we call "enlightened hospitality" – exceptional user experience – throughout our participants' journeys.

Small Giants Academy is a not-for-profit initiative dedicated to educating and activating conscious leaders in service of life. Through our programs and storytelling, we inspire and equip people to become the business, social and political leaders we need to build a more hopeful future – a more just and inclusive global economy that supports human flourishing while living in harmony with the natural world.

Location

Hybrid (remote & from our office) – Melbourne-based candidate preferable

Required Skills and Background

Content Creation & Management

  • Support the planning and management of our content calendar to ensure consistent, strategic posting across social media channels
  • Develop engaging written and visual social media content across platforms
  • Manage posting and sharing of marketing content across all channels, including email marketing 
  • Support website content updates and maintenance
  • Create and update design templates, brochures, and marketing materials for our Program Producers
  • Write and create content across the organisation as required

Digital Advertising & Analytics

  • Support the planning, execution, and optimisation of paid advertising campaigns across social media platforms and Google Ads
  • Monitor advertising budgets and performance metrics to maximise ROI
  • Conduct A/B testing of ad creative and copy to improve campaign effectiveness
  • Provide regular reporting on digital marketing performance and insights

Community Engagement

  • Build and nurture our digital communities with authentic, meaningful interactions
  • Support participant journeys through thoughtful communication
  • Contribute to partnerships and external communications as required

Collaborative Support

  • Work closely with program producers on design and communication needs
  • Collaborate effectively within our small, agile team environment
  • Any other tasks as required to meet organisational priorities 

Essential Attributes

  • Demonstrated social media management experience with a passion for building digital communities
  • Excellent written communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Design capabilities and experience with content creation tools (Canva is a must-have, Figma is highly regarded)
  • Experience with website CMS platforms (Webflow highly regarded)
  • Strong project coordination and organisational abilities
  • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a small team
  • Enthusiasm for change, growth, and continuous learning
  • Solution-oriented mindset with flexibility and care

Desirable Experience

Any of the following experience would be highly regarded for this role: 

  • Experience with paid advertising platforms (Facebook Ads Manager, Instagram Ads, Google Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager)
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret data and optimise campaigns
  • Digital marketing certifications (Google Ads, Meta, etc.)
  • Experience with marketing automation tools (Campaign Monitor, MailChimp) and CRM systems (Salesforce)
  • Marketing, partnerships, and external communications experience
  • Community engagement in online environments
  • History of work in social impact and/or for purpose organisations
  • A background in storytelling
